6.9 Server View
The server view displays the following information:
The name of the server’s components: events and controllers.
The number of events and controllers on this server.
The status of the controllers on this server, either optimal, warning, serious, or critical.
The description of the components on this server.
Server Events and Controller Events Views
The server events and controller events views contain the following information for their respective events:
Severity: The event severity, whether informational or optimal, warning, error, serious, or critical. See Table 1
Types of Events on page 130 for more information.
Date: The date and time of the event.
Originator: The controller that issued the event.
Address: The location of the event.
ID: The event ID. See Table 2 RAID Controller Event Codes on page 131 for more information.
Description: A description of the event.
6.9.1 Lost Connection to Server
You have lost your connection to the server:
Check all cable connections to be sure none have disconnected or are broken.
Open a DOS Window and ping the server to see if it is running.
Restart the server and client.
If this does not restore the connection, contact technical support.
6.9.2 Errors
Internal Error Help
An internal error occurred on your system. Contact your authorized service representative or technical support.
6.9.3 Controller Errors
A controller is a piece of hardware that directs the storage of information in a Redundant Array of Independent Disks
(RAID) configuration. If something were to go wrong with the controller, access to data could be compromised.
