vibration sensor connected to this channel. For example, if you are using a vibration
sensor configured in mV/g (see section 22.1 “Manage Sensors” for more information on
configuring sensors), the broadband vibration units will be displayed in g’s. Second, the
frequency range measured in the broadband survey will always be 140 Hz through 30
kHz. This range is coded into the analyzer and cannot be changed.
13.1.1.1.14. Use the [

] key to move to the “ Tach x ” field as appropriate. When the “Define related
tachs?” field in paragraph 13.1.1.1.9 above is set to “Yes” and the field is exited, the
“Tach x” portion of the Channel line will become visible. Use the [

] key to move from
field to field even though the fields are arranged horizontally. Once a field is highlighted,
use the [

] key to select (display a dot in the box) or deselect (erase a dot in the box) the
Tach input you would like to correlate with the vibration channel described by this line.
13.1.1.1.15. Repeat paragraphs 13.1.1.1.10 through 13.1.1.1.14 above for each of the four channels
per your requirements.
13.1.1.1.16. Move to the “ Sensor ” column in the Channel A: row by using the [

] key. Use the [

]
key to select the sensor you will use for this channel. If the sensor you are using is not in
the selection list, you must enter the sensor setup. See Chapter 22 for entering a sensor
setup. Any selection other than “None” will automatically display the appropriate field in
the “Desc” column.
13.1.1.1.17. Move to the “ Desc ” (description) column in the Channel A: row by using the [

] key.
The field defaults to its associated channel as shown in the screenshot above. You may
use the analyzer keypad to enter a different six-character description for the channel such
as “#1 Eng”, or “Fan”.
13.1.1.1.18. Repeat paragraphs 13.1.1.1.16 and 13.1.1.1.17 for each of the four channels per your
requirements.
13.1.1.1.19. To select “ Time Trace Data ” collection, use either the [

] or the space bar to select this
feature. Time Trace is a feature that allows the recording of the raw time vibration data
as part of the job. The raw data can then be used for post-processing later for different
vibration analysis.
13.1.1.2. – Config
The “Config” selection (which corresponds to the [F1] key) appears at the bottom left of the
“Transient Survey Setup” banner screen. Press the [F1] key if you wish to define Conditions,
Speeds, and Parameters for the survey. If you choose this option by pressing the [F1] “Config”
key, the Transient Survey Setup banner screen does not change, however, the definitions for the
function keys at the bottom of the screen will change as shown in the example below.
