Honeywell Performance
(Viper II only)
(Revision 2.20, Apr 2020)
Honeywell Performance is a software function available in the Viper II analyzer. It allows the
Viper II to become the controller for the ACES Model 1752B JEDA (Jet Engine Data
Acquisition) Module or to function independent of the JEDA and directly control the engine
computer when used in conjunction with any N1 DEEC computer. The 1752B will act as a
datalogger to collect performance data on TFE731 EEC (Electronic Engine Control) or DEEC
(Digital Electronic Engine Control) engine models but is not required for any N1 DEEC (N1
Digital Engine Control). For the N1 DEEC engines, the Viper II analyzer connects directly to
and controls the N1 DEEC computer without the need of the JEDA module.
The Honeywell Performance function is available as part of the Viper II Main Menu and is used
with or without the model 1752B JEDA dependent on the engine computer model. If you are not
sure what performance equipment and accessories you currently have or need, contact ACES
Systems at (865) 671-2003 or via email at [email protected]. To conduct a
performance run using the Viper II and Honeywell Performance, refer to Section 12.1.2 below.
12.1.

12.1.1.
– Necessary Equipment
In order to use the Honeywell Performance function of the Viper II Analyzer, you must first have
the feature active on your analyzer. If “Honeywell Performance” does not appear on your main
menu screen, contact ACES Systems for information on how to activate this function. In
addition to the function being active, you must have the necessary accessories required for the
TFE731 engine model that you intend to conduct the performance calibration run on. The
following diagrams depict those accessories by part number.
