Web Configurator Introduction
This chapter describes how to log into the web configurator and navigate through it.
3.1 Web Configurator Overview
The embedded web configurator allows you to manage the switch from anywhere on the network through a
standard browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.
Use Internet Explorer 5.5 and later or Netscape Navigator 6 and later versions.
3.2 Accessing the Web Configurator
Use the following instructions to log on to the web configurator.
3.2.1 Password

Start your web browser.

Launch your web browser and enter “192.168.0.1” (the default IP address) in the Location or Address
field. Press Enter .

The Password screen now appears. Type “admin” in the user name field (it may display automatically for
you) and your password (default “1234”) in the password field.

Click Login .

A screen displays asking you to change your password (highly recommended) as shown next. Type a new
password (and retype it to confirm) and click
