Table 20-2 SNMP Setup
LABEL DESCRIPTION
Index This read-only field displays the SNMP index number. Click the index number to go to
the "Edit SNMP Setup" menu.
Trust Host The trusted host, your line card will only respond to SNMP messages from this address.
If you leave the field set to 0.0.0.0 (default), your line card will respond to all SNMP
messages it receives, regardless of source.
Read Community If the read community is set, which is the password for the incoming Get and GetNext-
requests from the management station. If the read community is not set, a '-' is in the
entry.
Write Community If the write community is set, which is the password for incoming Set requests from the
management station. If the write community is not set, a '-' is in the entry.
Trap Community If the trap community is set, which is the password sent with each trap to the SNMP
manager. If the trap community is not set, a '-' is in the entry.
