Floor stand and ceiling mount components
1
Lift arm or rigid arm (optional)
– Lift arm
The moving lift arm can be used to adjust the height of the ceiling
mount (motor-driven). The height is adjusted via the lift switch (A) on
the bottom side of the lamp housing (see figure to the left).
– Rigid arm (optional)
The rigid arm is adjusted to an invariable height during installation of
the ceiling mount. With this type of ceiling mount, the height of the
surgical microscope can only be adjusted via the suspension arm (2).
2
Suspension arm
The suspension arm enables precise positioning of the surgical microscope
and moving it to its standby position. The standby position is reached as
soon as the suspension arm has been completely moved up. At the same
time, the light is switched off automatically and certain functions are reset
to their stored starting values. The downward movement of the suspen-
sion arm can be limited as required.
CAUTION
Risk of injury caused by collisions!
The ceiling mount may collide with other moving parts of the ceiling mount
system (e.g., carrier arm with 22" video monitor).
• Always ensure that you position moving parts slowly to avoid potential
collisions.
• Avoid movements that could lead to collisions!
