Keratoscope (optional)
The keratoscope consists of a red LED illumination system that surrounds
the objective lens as a ring. The feature is used to assess the shape of the
cornea surface by observing and subjectively evaluating the pattern im-
aged on the cornea.
The following controls can be used to activate and deactivate the kerato-
scope, depending on the configuration:
– 5.7” control panel
– Hand grips
– Foot control panel
The keratoscope is an LED device of laser class 1 according to DIN EN
60825-1:2003. According to EN 62471:2008 this light source is to be clas-
sified as belonging to the free group.
