Configure the Fax Defaults and Settings
It is unlawful to send a message from a fax machine without the proper Fax Send Header information.
The following information must appear on the first transmitted page, or in the top or bottom margin of
each transmitted page:

Identity of the business or individual sending the fax
•
Telephone number of the sending machine
•
Date and time of the transmission
The Installation wizard starts the first time you power on the printer. The wizard prompts you with a
series of questions to guide you through initial configuration of the printer and includes configuration
of
Fax settings and defaults. At any time, you can configure the Fax settings and defaults at the printer
control panel or in the Embedded Web Server. For details, refer to

on page 161.
