Document Loading Guidelines
To scan or fax original documents, use the document glass or the duplex automatic document feeder.

Loading Documents for Scanning
Position the original document as shown.
Document Glass
Lift the document feeder cover, then place the
original document face down in the upper-left
corner of the document glass.
Single-Pass Duplex Automatic Document Feeder
Insert original documents face up with the top of the page
entering the feeder first. Adjust the paper guides so they fit
against the original documents.
