The drum cartridge consists of a light-sensitive drum, the drum cleaner and the waste
toner cartridge.
The drum cartridge can print approximately 20,000 A4 pages with a 1:1 monochrome/
colour ratio (approximately 5% coverage of each colour on the factory default print density
setting). The drum cartridge can print approximately 6,000 pages of A3-size colour only
images.
If the drum cartridge is scratched, print quality may decline and result in black dots
showing on the printed copies.
When it is time to change the drum cartridge, this message "Replace drum cartridge" will
appear on the display panel.
When this happens, follow the procedure below to replace the used drum cartridge with a
new one.
The waste toner cartridge can be replaced separately.
To replace the waste toner cartridge separately, refer to "6.3.2
Replacing the Waste Toner Cartridge"
Both the drum and the waste toner cartridges are consumables. Refer to
"Appendix A Optional Products and Consumables" for more information.
