Possible Reason/Solution
No power
• Press the power switch to the <|> position to switch on
the power.
• Switch off the power to the printer and connect the
power cord to the power outlet again. Then, switch on
the printer.
• Connect the printer to a power outlet with a suitable
voltage and current rating.
Cannot print
• If the [
Ready
] indicator light is off, this printer is in menu
setting mode. Press the [
Menu
] button to exit.
Print job sent but
the <Ready> indi-
cator light is not
blinking or on
• Switch off the power and check the interface cable con-
nection.
• Check the interface port settings. Make sure that the
protocol settings are set up correctly on the CentreWare
Internet Services.
• Check the computer environment, such as the printer
driver.
<Error> light is on
• Check the displayed message and solve the problem.
<Error> light is
blinking
•
An error that you cannot solve on your own has
occurred.
Write down the displayed message or error code, switch
off the power, pull out the power plug from the outlet,
and then contact our Customer Support Center or the
nearest dealer for assistance.
<Ready> light is
blinking but there
is no printout
•
There are jobs being processed in the printer.
Cancel printing or force the remaining data to be
printed. To force the printing job, press the <Eject/Set>
button. To cancel the job, press <Cancel> button.
Sections of
printed document
are missing. The
test is printed in a
different location
than expected
• Check and set the paper guides to the correct positions.
• Check that the paper size on the print driver or the con-
trol panel is set properly.
• Check if the margin setting is correct in the print setting.
