Switching from on-line to stand-by mode
Below is a brief outline of the steps required for switching from the on-
line to the stand-by mode. For detailed information about each of
these steps, refer to the procedure entitled “Disconnecting from a
host machine” discussed earlier in this chapter.
1. Retract the Receiving Plate.
2. Lower the Interface Module all the way down to the left side of
the Binder 120.
3. Store the Alignment Bracket.
4. Do one of the following:
•
For the Xerox 5100, 5800 or 5895, detach the Retainer from
the Damper Arm on the host machine Output Tray and
return the Retainer to its storage position.
•
For the Xerox 5680/5892, disconnect the two parts of the
Spacer.
•
For the Xerox 5890, detach the Retainer from the Damper
Arm on the host machine Output Tray.
5. For the Xerox 5680/5892, return the Output Tray to the inner
position.
