PREPARING THE BINDER 120 FOR ON-LINE AND OFF-LINE OPERATION

XEROX DOCUMENT BINDER 120 OPERATOR MANUAL

Move the Binder 120 away from the host machine.

•

Allow up to three feet (one meter) of workspace between the
Binder 120 and the host machine.

8.

On the host machine Output Tray, disconnect the Retainer or
Spacer according to the instructions and illustration(s) for your
host machine, step a or b.

a.

Xerox 5100, 5800, 5890 or 5895:

•

Disconnect the Damper Arm by carefully pulling the
Retainer attachment strip away from the Damper Arm
attachment strip.

•

Return the Retainer to its storage position by curving
the Retainer backwards, aligning the attachment strips
and squeezing to attach.

NOTE:

  For the Xerox 5890, this step is not required.

The Retainer will not reattach itself to the Damper Arm
during normal operation of the host machine.
