REMOVING THE DEFROST THERMOSTAT

Unplug air conditioner or disconnect power.

Remove the front cover from the unit (see
page 2-11 for the procedure).

Lower the control chassis to access the
components (see page 4-2 for the proce-
dure).

Electrical Shock Hazard

Disconnect power before servicing.

Replace all parts and panels before
operating.

Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.

Disconnect the wires from the defrost ther-
mostat terminals.

Remove the two hex-head screws from
the defrost thermostat.

Remove the outdoor grille from the rear of
the unit.

Pull the sensing tube out of the condenser
and push the tube into the front of the unit
as far as possible.

Pull the sensing tube inside and remove
the defrost thermostat.
