Removal and refitting of the source enclosure
Removing the source enclosure from the instrument
Required material
Chemical-resistant, powder-free gloves
To remove the source enclosure
1. Prepare the instrument for working on the source (see
instrument for working on the source” on page 4-7
)
.
2. Remove the probe from the source, see
.
3. Slide open the instrument’s source interface door (see the figure on
).
4. Disconnect the probe adjuster and options cables from the instrument’s
connectors.
5. Pull the source enclosure release (located at the bottom, right-hand side)
outwards and swing open the enclosure.
Warning:
The source components can be contaminated with
biohazardous and/or toxic materials. Always wear
chemical-resistant, powder-free gloves while performing this
procedure.
Warning:
The probe and source can be hot. To avoid burn
injuries, take great care while working with these components.
