13.5 Groups
The GSM-BUS Communicator 01942 is able from a remote location to control up to 8 groups in the By-me
system
The 8 groups (GR1GR8) of the GSM-BUS Communicator 01942 can be associated with the SMS labels for
customization, to be used for sending commands and status requests In any case they can always be man-
aged with their own predefined label: GR1GR8; after enrolment (see paragraph 1211), the system makes the
following configuration functions available:
13.5.1 13.5.1 SMS label management
This is used to associate or delete an SMS label, of at most 10 characters, with the selected group; the proce-
dure can take place with an SMS message or via EasyTool:
- send an SMS with the following form to associate the
<name>
with the group
<n>
:
<user code>.GR<n>.STR.<name>
- send an SMS with the following form to restore the predefined value of the group
<n>
:
<user code>.GR<n>.STR.0
This command does not require an SMS confirmation message.
Example
If the set user code is the default 1234 and you want to associate the name “StepLight” with the group 1,
send the SMS:
1234.GR1.STR.StepLight
To delete the previously associated name, send the SMS:
1234.GR1.STR.0
