Paper Type
You can set the display so you can see what type of paper is loaded in the paper tray.
The print function uses this information to automatically select the paper tray.
The paper types you can set for Tray 7 are as follows:
[Do not Display], [Recycled Paper], [Special Paper], [Color Paper 1], [Color Paper 2], [Yellow],
[Green], [Blue], [Purple], [Ivory], [Orange], [Pink], [Red], [Gray], [Letterhead], [Translucent Paper],
[Preprinted Paper], [OHP (Transparency)], [Bond Paper], [Cardstock], [Prepunched Paper], [Tab
Stock]
Paper Thickness
The paper thicknesses you can set for Tray 7 are as follows:
• Plain Paper
52 - 105 g/m
2
(14 - 28 lb BOND)
• Middle Thick
106 - 163 g/m
2
(28 lb BOND - 90 lb INDEX)
• Thick Paper 1
164 - 216 g/m
2
(90 lb INDEX - 80 lb COVER)
• Thick Paper 2
217 - 256 g/m
2
(80 lb COVER - 140 lb INDEX)
The default setting for "Paper Type" is Do not Display.
The default setting for "Paper Thickness" is Plain Paper.
The default setting for "Apply Duplex" is Yes.
The default setting for "Apply Auto Paper Select" is Yes.
The key mark is displayed next to the paper tray if [No] is selected in "Apply Auto Paper Select".

The optional tab sheet holder is required when using tab stock in Tray 7.
The Tab Position Shift can be set in millimeters, when Tab Stock has been selected.
The Tab Position Shift can be set in 1 inch (1 millimeter) units, within a range of 0 to 0.6 inches (0 to
15 mm). The default is "0.5" inches (13 mm).
Designation Sheet 1 - 9
You can specify and display the paper tray to set designation sheets. You can also specify the display
time and copying method for two sided copying.
