Entering the SIM PIN in the web interface
If a computer is connected when you start up the terminal, you can access the web interface and
enter the SIM PIN here.
If your SIM card requires a PIN, and the PIN has not yet been entered: When you access the web
interface, it opens on the PIN page. Until you enter the PIN you can only upload software and view
the Dashboard. Access to all other parts of the web interface requires a PIN.
Type in the PIN and click
OK
.
If you enter a wrong PIN 3 times you are asked for a PUK (PIN Unblocking Key). For further
information, see
Wrong PIN
on page 19.
If the PIN has already been entered in the terminal, or the PIN is disabled, the web interface goes
directly to the Dashboard at start-up.
When the correct PIN is entered, the web interface opens the Dashboard and is ready for use.
Note
You may not have to enter a SIM PIN to access the terminal. This depends on whether or
not the use of a SIM PIN is enabled on your SIM card.
Note
Some parts of the web interface may be greyed out if the user permissions are limited.
For information on how to set up user permissions, see
Setting up user permissions
on
