Using ChromQuest to Monitor the Pump Status

lists the possible statuses for the Accela Pump.

To check the status of the Accela Pump from the ChromQuest data system
1. Open the online Instrument window.
2. Choose
Control > Instrument Status
.
The Instrument Status window appears with the Accela Pump page displayed
(see
Figure 33
). The pump status appears on the left side of the page.

Status descriptions for the Accela Pump
Status
Meaning
Ready to Download
The pump is online, but is producing a zero flow rate.
Homing
The pistons are moving to the home position. At lower flow rates,
the pistons take longer to reach the home position.
Ready
The pump is waiting for the start signal.
Running Isocratic
The pump is under direct control and pumping an isocratic mobile
phase or running a method that contains a one-line pump
program.
Running Gradient
The pump is running a method that contains a pump program of
two or more lines.
High Pressure Error
The system pressure has risen above the maximum allowable
pressure specified in the method or by setting global pressure limits.
Low Pressure Error
The pressure has fallen below the minimum allowable pressure
specified in the method or by setting global pressure limits.
Error
A generic run-time error has occurred.
