Rescale Function and Assigning Units
The Rescale function allows you to apply a multiplication factor (
a
) and additive constant (
b
) to any
source waveform. You can do it in the unit of your choice, depending on the type of application.
Tip:
Analog channel traces may be rescaled directly using the C
x
dialogs. They do not require
a separate Math function.
Setting Up Rescaling
1. Follow the usual steps to

You can combine units following these rules:
l
For the quotient of two units, use the character "
:/
"
l
For the product of two units, use the character "

For exponents, append the digit to the unit without a space (e.g., "S2" for seconds
squared)
Note:
Some units are converted to simple units (e.g., V.A becomes W).
