Battery test
The battery test function allows you to perform the following measurement functions.

To select the function from the front panel:
1. Press the
Menu
key.
2. Under
Measure
, select the measurement function of your choosing.
You can also make these measurements by selecting soft keys and sending SCPI commands. For
details, refer to
(on page 3-59).
Battery simulator
The battery simulator function allows you to perform the following measurement function.

You can also make the measurement by selecting soft keys and sending SCPI commands. For

Select a specific measurement range
For the 2281S, you can set specific measurement ranges or allow the instrument to choose the
ranges automatically (power supply function only).
The measurement range determines the full-scale input for the measurement. The measurement
range also affects the accuracy of the measurements and the maximum signal that can be measured.
Selecting a lower measurement range can increase measurement accuracy, but the measurement
must not exceed the range. If the measurement exceeds the range, an "Overflow" error will occur.
