CAUTION: Unplug the vacuum cleaner before servicing.
1. Access the motor compartment as shown on page 38-39.
2. Remove the motor (Fig. A and B.)
3. Disconnect the black and white leads. The yellow wire is not used. For easy disconnect instructions
see step 3 on the previous page.
4. Install the new motor. See the wiring diagram on page 71. Route the wires as shown in Fig. D to avoid
pinched wires.
5. Reassemble vacuum.
NOTE:
If the vacuum is turned on without the agitator and belt installed the direct air motor will stop
after a few seconds and the jam light will activate. To test the motor either fully reassembe the machine
including the agitator and belt or install a hall sensor bypass plug.
