CAUTION: Unplug the vacuum cleaner before servicing.
1. Access the motor compartment as shown on pages 38-39.
2. Remove the one (1) pan head screw holding the motor (Fig. A.)
3. Remove the motor. Disconnect the wire leads using two pairs of needle nose pliers. First grip a con
nector with each set of pliers as shown in Fig. B. Then press the tips of the plers together to separate
the connectors as shown in Fig. C and Fig. D.
5. Install the new motor being careful to avoid pinched wires. See the wiring diagram
on page 71.
5. Reassemble vacuum.
NOTE:
If the vacuum is turned on without the agitator and belt installed the direct air motor will stop
after a few seconds and the jam light will activate. To test the motor either fully reassemble the machine
including the agitator and belt or install a hall sensor bypass plug.
