CAUTION: Unplug the vacuum cleaner before servicing
1. Access motor compartment as shown on page 38-39.
2. Remove the screw holding the direct air motor (Fig. A.)
3. Remove the direct air motor and take off the fan housing by removing the 3 screws.
4. Use vice grips or another method to clamp the shaft in place (Fig. B.)
5. Remove the nut using a 7/16” in or 11mm socket (Fig. C). NOTE: This is a reverse threaded nut.
6. Remove the nut, then the washer and fan (Fig. D.) Take care not to misplace the washer under the fan.
7. Replace the fan followed by the second washer and the nut. Replace the outer fan housing securing
with the three screws.
8. Reinstall the direct air motor into the housing and secure with the screw (Fig. A.)
9. Reassemble being careful not to pinch any wires in the process.
