bridge timeout
This command sets the aging time for both the Ethernet port and
the wireless interface.
Syntax
bridge timeout
<
interface-id
> <
seconds
>
•
interface-id
- An identifier that specifies the interface. (0 for
Ethernet, 2 for 802.11a wireless)
•
seconds
- The time to age out an address entry. (Range:
60-1800 seconds)
Default
Ethernet: 100
802.11a wireless: 1800

Command Usage
• If the MAC address of an entry in the address table is not
seen on the associated interface for longer than the aging
time, the entry is discarded.
Example
bridge stp-bridge spanning-tree
Use this command to enable the Spanning Tree Protocol globally
for the wireless bridge. Use the
no
form to disable it.
Syntax
bridge stp-bridge spanning-tree
no bridge stp-bridge spanning-tree
AP(config)#
bridge timeout 0 300
AP(config)#
bridge timeout 2 1000
