Purpose
This document provides instructions for technical staff on the installation and operation of
the ICR845-2 Image Code Reader (fixed focus) in following versions:

Front / side reading window

Important
The ICR845-2 Image Code Reader with all its variants is simply referred to as "ICR845-2" in
the document, except where a distinction is necessary.

Target group
This document is intended for persons who are responsible for the following activities:

Depth of information
This document contains all of the information necessary for the installation, electrical
installation and startup of the ICR845-2 with the factory default settings.
The ICR845-2 is configured for the application-specific reading conditions using the CLV-
Setup configuration software on a Windows
TM
PC. The CLV-Setup configuration software
contains the online help system CLV-Setup Help to facilitate configuration. The procedure
for installing and operating the configuration software is described in the Appendix.
