SET-UP SYSTEM LIGHT-MODE setting range is KEY-ON, OFF, and ALWAYS. The default setting is KEY-ON. When set
to KEY-ON, the Multi-Function LCD backlight will turn ON when any key on the transmitter is pressed. When set to OFF, the
Multi-Function LCD backlight will be disabled. When set to ALWAYS, the Multi-Function LCD backlight will stay ON as long
as the transmitter is turned ON.
Changing the Multi-Function LCD Backlight Mode Setting
1) Press the ENTER key to move the cursor to LIGHT-MODE, then press the
INC/+ or DEC/- keys to select the desired LIGHT-MODE value.
When the LIGHT-MODE value is set to OFF or ALWAYS the
LIGHT-TIME option described in the Changing the Multi-Function LCD
Backlight Time Setting section below will not be available.
Changing the Multi-Function LCD Backlight Time Setting
1) Press the ENTER key to move the cursor to LIGHT-TIME, then press the
INC/+ or DEC/- keys to adjust the desired LIGHT-TIME value.
SET-UP SYSTEM LIGHT-TIME setting range is 1 second to 30 seconds.
The default setting is 10 seconds. This setting adjusts the time in seconds
that the Multi-Function LCD backlight will stay ON after the last key-press.
The longer the Multi-Function LCD backlight is allowed to stay ON, the quicker the transmitter batteries will be depleted.
This option is not available when ALWAYS is selected in the LIGHT-MODE setting described previously.
[MOD] MODuLATION AND CHANNEL MODE SET-uP
The Modulation function allows you to choose the transmitter Modulation Type, the Channel Mode (2CH or 4CH), and whether
you're using Analog and/or Digital servos (FH3 and FH3F Modulation only).
Choosing the Modulation Type Setting
1) Press the Function key to move the cursor to [MOD] in the Programming
Window. The cursor will default to TYPE.
2) Press the INC/+ or DEC/- keys to set the desired Modulation Type.
Choose from the options described below.
SET-UP MOD TYPE setting range is FH2, FH3, and FH3F. The default setting is FH3.
The following Modulation Type options are available:
FH2
- Select this Modulation Type when using Sanwa or Airtronics 2.4GHz FHSS-2 surface receivers.
FH3
- Select this Modulation Type when using Sanwa or Airtronics 2.4GHz FHSS-3 surface receivers.
FHF3
- Select this Modulation Type ONLY if using your transmitter in France.
IMPORTANT
As a safety feature, options in the SET-UP MOD menu cannot be changed if the transmitter is turned ON.
This prevents any chance of a runaway model when these options are changed. If you attempt to make programming changes
within the SET-UP MOD menu while the transmitter is turned ON, Display Mode Only! will be displayed in the Programming
Window. To make programming changes within the SET-UP MOD menu, make sure that the transmitter is turned OFF, then
turn on the Multi-Function LCD using the Display Key and proceed to make your programming changes.
