COM Port Voltage Setting SAP-6600
COM Port voltage settings is enable in the SAP-6600 bios settings. An external Keyboard is required
to access the BIOS settings.
1.
Power off the SAM4POS terminal and connect a USB keyboard.
2.
Power on the SAM4POS terminal; press
Delete
when the terminal begins loading.
3.
Using the arrow keys on the keyboard, arrow over to the
Advanced
tab and select
F81960 Super IO
Configuration
; press
ENTER
.
4.
Arrow down to the desired
COM1/2/3 Power Select
and press
ENTER
.
5.
Select the appropriate voltage setting
(5V or 12V)
for the connected device; press
ENTER
.
6.
Press
F10
to
Save & Exit
the BIOS settings.
7.
The SAM4POS application will reload to the main sign on screen.

Touch the
SYSTEM
icon on the main
PROGRAM MODE
screen to display all the program
categories. The System menu displays.
2.
From the
SYSTEM
menu touch
SETTINGS
.
3.
Enter the
MANAGER PASSWORD
at the prompt.
4.
On the Settings menu, scroll down the category list on the left-side menu to the
SYSTEM
category.
5.
Select
Developer Options
from the available selections. Note: the developer options must be ON to
allow editing.
6.
Select the
Cash Drawer Voltage Setting
or select
COM1/2/3 Port Voltage Setting
.
7.
Choose the value for each setting as desired.
8.
To return to the SAM4POS application, press the
icon.
