Combo Discount
The Combo discount is similar to the multi-buy discount. In both situations, specific items must be sold to
qualify. When using the Combo Discount option, instead of the selecting PLUs individually, we assign
promotion groups to be used with the discount; see “Promotion Group Programming” on page 178 for
details.
a) Select the Combo Discount promotion type.
b) Add a new promotion or select an existing promotion to edit.
c) Enter a descriptor for the promotion.
d) On the Combo Discount promotion OPTION tab:

Select the DISCOUNT TYPE :
 [ %] for percentage discount,
 [ - ] for an amount discount, or
 [FIXED PRICE] to sell selected items at a set “Fixed Price”.

Set the DISCOUNT VALUE accordingly.
•
Choose if you want to SKIP RECALLED ITEM s.
(Mix & Match will apply only to new
items entered when a check is recalled.)

Select the TAXABLE option.
(If the TAXABLE option is unchecked, the tax is applied before
the discount is applied.)
e) Select the Promotion Group tab to add or edit the promotion groups that will be used with this Combo
Discount promotion.
f) When selecting the promotion groups, enter the quantity required at the Input Count field, and select
the promotion group to be used with this combo discount from the list.
