4-7 LINEAR ENCODER SETUP (Referential Time : 10min.)
LINEAR ENCODER SETUP is performed to confirm that the installation of Linear Encoder is proper, and also
to confirm that it properly reads and corrects the width of the scale, which is stretched or shrunk due to the
operation environment, by the software coordinates. This operation is required when Limit Sensor, Encoder
Scale or Encoder Module is replaced or the position is adjusted.
Lower the Pinch Rollers.
Make sure to unload the media when it is set on the
machine.
Also, the media clamps must be removed.
Select the [LINEAR ENCODER] menu in the SERVICE
MENU and press the [ENTER] key.
