Replacing a RAID Controller

Secure the controller by tightening the captive fastener screw. Do not
overtighten the screw.

Power-on the enclosure. Refer to “Powering On the Storage System” on
page 113.
NOTE:
(Dual Active Mode) The replacement controller will communicate with
the disk drives and operating controller, and automatically configure its
parameters to match its partner controller.
NOTE:
Dual-Active controllers require the same version firmware and the same
size/type memory on both controllers.

Using the packaging materials from the replacement controller, repackage the
failed controller and return it per your RMA instructions.
