Before coupling the implement, ensure that the thread lengths
(items 1 and 2) on each side of the bolt on the top link are
identical.
IMPORTANT:
Excess grease inside the top link can block the bolt.
Dismount the lubrication device and remove excess
grease.
CAUTION:
Use a ball joint to connect the 3rd point on the
implement side.
CAUTION:
Do not use an automatic hook.
ʈ
The size of the opening (size and shape) differs depending on
the manufacturer and the model. This can cause dangerous
interactions with the trailer couplings in some cases.
ʈ
The automatic spring bar can impede the ball joint's
rotation, which can lead to the ball joint wearing or breaking.
This phenomenon mainly occurs on Cat couplings. III:
The diameter of the bolt is larger when the material quantity
on the lower ball joint is lower; it is therefore less resistant.

Coupling the implement to the
tractor
CAUTION:
Ensure that coupling:
- Neither causes overloading:
Observe the highest permissible load on the
coupling points.
- Nor causes poor load distribution:
Weight the tractor's front (see § 5.3).

ball joints
IMPORTANT:
Check that the diameters of the ball joints (on the
tractor) and the bolts on the implement match.
-
Unscrew the implement's bolts by removing the locking
screws.
-
Pull the tractor back and align the bottom link's ball joints and
the implement's holes.
-
Feed the bolts through and lock them using the locking bolts.
-
,IWKHKROHVDUHGLI¿FXOWWRDOLJQORRVHQWKHWHOHVFRSLFDUPV
(see the tractor's operating instructions); as soon as the bolts
are in position and locked, pull them back so that the telescop-
ic arms can return to their original position and lock in place
again. Check that the mechanism locks in again.
-
Now hook the top link in.
6.1.2
Tractor equipped with lifting arms with
removable ball joints
-
Unscrew the implement's coupling bolts by removing the
locking bolts.
-
Remove the removable ball joints for the rapid action coupling
brackets from the tractor's bottom link.
-
Check that the diameters of the ball joints and those of the
bolts match.
-
Guide the ball joints into the bolts. Insert the bolts into the
implement again and forget about the locking bolts.
-
Pull the tractor back until the bottom link's rapid action
coupling brackets run under the implement's bolts (that are
equipped with ball joints).
-

-
Lift the implement around 5 cm off the ground and check the
position of the locking mechanism for the ball joints in the
brackets.
-
Now hook the top link in.
