11.7.3
Connection for the RS485
serial communication with PVI-
STRINGCOMB(-S)
Each PVI-XXX.0(-TL) inverter can manage up
to 12 boxes for the connection of the PVI-
STRINGCOMB(-S) strings.
Following the indications of the PVI-
STRINGCOMB(-S) manual, the connection of
the RS485 serial line is then made.
See also Table Figure 11-11 and Table 11-2,
for the position and names of the signals in
the terminal block.
Connect the 485_2+ signal to the X25D
clamp.
Connect the 485_2- signal to the X26D
clamp.
Connect the return (RTN or earth) to
the X24D clamp.
Connect the screening of the screened
cable to the X27D clamp.
After every connection try pulling the
cable to make sure that it is correctly
screwed.
11.7.4
Connection for the state
signalling of the single 55kWp
modules.
With reference to Table Figure 11-11 and
Table 11-3, the state of the "n" box can be
monitored, verifying the position of the AUX
contact.
Figure 11-14: AUX contact for state
signalling
This contact, in sleep mode, is connected
internally, as illustrated in Figure 11-14.
Where n indicates the number of the 55kWp
box, according to the numeration indicated
in Figure 5-1, Figure 5-2.
Chapter §5.2.6
There are two modes of operation used for
this contact:
11.7.4.1 TWILIGHT Mode.
When the solar field voltage (Vpanel), as
detected by a module, drops below the set
threshold, the AUX contact switches from
excitation condition (XnD-XnE closed) to
sleep condition (XnD-XnE open) (please also
see previous figure).
11.7.4.2 GRID Mode.
When a 55kWp module is disconnected
from the grid, the AUX contact switches
from excitation condition (XnD-XnE closed)
to rest condition (XnD-XnE open) (please
also see previous figure).
The contact is provided from factory
with
GRID
mode
functioning.
Changing this function is only
possible from the service menu
(Figure 13-3) (contact the dealer for
the access password and other
details for the modification).
NOTICE
It is important to leave a gap of 30 cm of
cable pocketed in the ACBOX to allow the
full extraction of the AC drawer
.
