6.1.3.1 Features of the external DC
switch
It is important to choose the external DC
switch with the following features:
•
Ground insulation 1000Vdc.
•
Rated voltage 1000Vdc.
•
Rated current: 125A x number of Modules
(example PVI-330.0: 125x6 = 750Adc).
•
Check serial connection mode of switch
poles to ensure 1000Vdc cut-out.
•
It is recommended the sole function of the
switch. Given the limited nature of the field
current it is preferable not to use breakers
with solenoid switches.
•
If breakers with solenoid switches are being
used, increase the rated current with at
least 25% (e.g. 330kW: use a solenoid switch
not below 940A). In particular, check that at
the 70 ° C ambient temperature, the
thermal threshold does not react.
