15 RTC
The i.MX 6UL processor also includes an integrated RTC. By default, the RTC is sourced by the internal 32 kHz
oscillator. To get a higher accuracy it is possible to connect an external crystal or oscillator (with 32 kHz or 32.768
kHz) to the phyCORE-i.MX 6UL SOM. The following table shows the location of the RTC_XTALI/O pins on the
phyCORE-Connector X1.
The internal oscillator is automatically multiplexed in the clocking system when the system detects a loss of clock.
Please refer to the
i.MX 6UL/ULL Reference Manual
for more information about connecting an external clock source
to the RTC.
