Emptying the Drain System

1. Extinguish the flame, allow the burner head to cool, shut down the gases at
source, and bleed the gas supply lines.
2. Switch off the spectrometer.
3. Flush the drain system. See Cleaning (or Flushing) the Drain System on page
226 .
