7. TYPE: the number of the NAP (either 1 or 2) to be assigned to the event datagram port.

The Network Administration Port menu appears.

The Event Datagram parameters screen appears. The values assigned to the parameters for
your screen must match those settings shown below:

9. If a parameter setting on your screen does not match that shown above,
TYPE: the number of the item that does not match
PRESS: Enter
The screen for that parameter appears.
TYPE: the correct parameter
PRESS: Enter
10. When all the parameters are correct, save the parameters and update the NAP.
TYPE: S
PRESS: Enter
If the terminal or PC is connected to the NAP just configured as an event datagram port,
the terminal or PC will be cut off at this point. If this is the case, you can now disconnect
the terminal or PC from the multiplexer and then connect the cables between the NMS host
computer and the multiplexers.
If the terminal or PC is connected to a NAP configured as a supervisory NAP, the Event
Datagram parameters screen appears again with the updated settings.
