Provider
A company that offers Internet connections.
Different providers offer different services and have varied payment systems, so be sure to
check details thoroughly before signing up with a given company. Sometimes referred to as
Internet Service Providers (ISP).

RAM Module
A component that incorporates a semiconductor memory chip into a single substrate. This
module is inserted into the RAM Module Slot to increase the computer's available memory
(
). Increasing memory (RAM) offers a number of benefits, including more
comfortable program operations, the capacity to handle larger volumes of data, and the ability
to use several programs simultaneously. RAM modules come in various types and capacities,
so the user must choose the module that is best suited to the user’s computer.
Refresh Rate (Screen)
The number of times the screen is updated with a new display each second. If the screen
seems to flicker, it may be because the refresh rate is too low.
Reinstall
Refers to reinstalling software, drivers, and other components into the computer. Also refers to
reinstallation of the entire operating system. This operation is conducted when software or
other components no longer work properly.

CD-ROM.
Resolution (display)
A measure of the fineness of display output. The number of display points on a screen is
expressed as “horizontal x vertical”. A screen with a larger number of display points (a higher
resolution) can show more information.
Right Click
Pressing the right button quickly on the mouse and releasing it. The menu that appears when
a right click is executed differs depending on the application software, but in many cases a part
of the menu bar (shortcut menu) is displayed.
