Main Mode: Using the Unit Connected to a Network
These settings are for connecting to a computer via a wired
LAN.

Select “LAN” in the “NETWORK SEL” (

page 105)
menu setting.
When you change these settings, restart the unit if necessary.

Configure each item in the “LAN PROPERTY” (
➝
page 106) menu setting as necessary.
DHCP and DHCP SERVER are exclusive settings.
MAC ADDRESS:
MAC address of the wired LAN (This cannot be changed.)
DHCP:
Set whether to use automatic assignment by DHCP (

Set the wired LAN of the computer.

Display [Properties] of [Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/
IPv4)] and configure the settings. For details on the dis-
play procedure, refer to [Start]

• When “DHCP SERVER” is set to “ENABLE” in the unit settings
Select [Obtain an IP address automatically] and [Obtain
DNS server address automatically] on the [General] tab.
Select [Automatic private IP address] on the [Alternate
Configuration] tab.
• When “DHCP SERVER” is set to “DISABLE” in the unit
settings
Select [Use the following IP address] on the [General]
tab, and configure the following items.
- [IP address]
- [Subnet mask]
- [Default gateway], [Preferred DNS server] and [Alternate
DNS server]: There is no need to enter any specific value.
(For Mac OS)
• When "DHCP SERVER" is set to "ENABLE" in the unit set-
tings
[Configure IPv4]: Select [Using DHCP].
[Configure IPv6]: Select [Automatically].
• When "DHCP SERVER" is set to "DISABLE" in the unit set-
tings
[Configure IPv4]: Select [Manually] and enter the values
for following items.
- [IP Address]
- [Subnet Mask]
- There is no need to set [Router] so leave it blank.
[Configure IPv6]: Select [Automatically].
Wired LAN Settings
