Setting up a POP/IMAP account in the
Messaging application: Common email
providers
Follow this procedure if you have a
common email provider such as AOL,
Yahoo!, or EarthLink. If you are setting up
the Messaging application to work with
your corporate email account, or you have a
less common email provider, see Setting
up a POP/IMAP account in the Messaging
application: Other email providers.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Ask your email
provider or system administrator for your
account username and password if you
don’t know them.
1 Go to your Today screen.
2 Press Messaging (left softkey).
3 Select New E-mail Account .
4 Enter your email address. Check the box
to have the setup process get your
account settings from the Internet.
5 Press Next (right softkey).
