2. Even if the BAT LOW indicator does not light, the battery should be re-
placed after five years.
Replacing the Battery
1, 2, 3...

Turn the power off. If the power has not been on, turn it on for at least
one minute and then turn it of again before replacing the battery.

Take off the switch cover on the back of the Terminal.
3.
Remove the battery from the connector and put in a new battery. Be
sure that the connector is straight when inserted.
Note
a) Do not take more than five minutes to replace the battery, other-
wise the internal memory may be lost.
b) The battery can be replaced with the PT turned on, in which case
there is no limitation for battery replacement time.

Replace the cover.
Caution
The lithium battery can explode if placed into a fire, or it can explode, burn, or
leak if the + and -- terminals are short-circuited or if the battery is recharged or
dismantled. Handle the battery with care.

If no battery is connected, BAT LOW indicator operation is not stable.

Spare Terminals
In order to restore operations as quickly as possible in the event of a
NT600M breakdown, it is a good idea to always keep a spare Terminal on
hand.

Inspection

The NT600M’s liquid crystal display and backlight can wear out. If they be-
come hard to see, replace the Terminal.
