Turning On and Off the Copier

The screen below is displayed until the copier is ready to make copies.
Once the <Please wait. (Auto Start is possible.)> message appears on the touch
panel display, you can specify the Auto Start function. (See Chapter 1, “Basic
Copying,” in the Copying Guide.)
The screen below is displayed when the copier is ready to make copies.
The copier is ready to make copies after about 8 minutes and 30 seconds (at a
room temperature of 68°F).
IMPORTANT

Once you turn off the power, texture patterns and scans of text originals made for
copying using the Character Composition function are lost.
Such settings stored in mode memory or the memory of the Recall key are also
lost.

If you turn off the power, wait at least three seconds before turning the power back
on.
