Routine Cleaning
Clean the following parts of the feeder whenever copies appear dirty.
Feeding Belt
Clean the feeding belt with a piece of well-wrung cloth dampened with water, then
wipe it with a piece of soft, dry cloth.
Note on Feeder Cleaning
If the feeder’s roller is dirty, black lines will appear on originals that have been fed
through the feeder for copying. Moreover, paper jams may occur more frequently,
because of dirt that has accumulated in the feeder. Whenever these situations
occur, you need to clean the feeder. (See “Cleaning the Feeder,” on p. 2-39.)
