Do not pull hard on the cord of the edit pen.
•
When using the edit pen, avoid letting the cord come near to the tip of the edit pen.
•
Do not touch the tip of the edit pen. This may result in an incorrect entry.
•
Be careful not to let the connector of the editor come loose while the copier’s power is
turned on because this may damage the copier.

If the edit pen is used to designate a position that has been heavily shaded with a pencil,
accurate area designation may be difficult.
•
Consult with your service representative about how to connect the editor to the copier.

Placing an Original
Place the original with the surface to be copied face up on the editor, aligning the
original’s top-right corner with the mark.
When you move the original from the editor to the platen glass, place it with the
surface to be copied facing down on the platen glass by reversing the left and right
sides.
