Replacing an MPB96 board
This section describes how to replace an MPB96 board.
You must replace an MPB96 board:
if the board becomes faulty
when the PCI firmware needs to be updated, and the board must be
sent back to the factory
To replace an MPB96 board

Courtesy stop all CallPilot channels.

Power down the server and all peripheral devices.

Disconnect the following cables:
a.
power cable
b.
peripheral device cables
c.
DS30X cables (Meridian 1 and Succession 1000 only)

CAUTION
Risk of electrical damage
Wear an antistatic ESD wrist strap when handling cards or
boards, or when working inside the server.
Do not touch the components or gold-edge connectors of
cards or boards.
Place the board on an antistatic surface until you are ready
to install it.
