Width
The width of the water body/flume/channel will be considered with the transmitter’s calcula-
tions used to determine the distances between the measurement spots.
30.1.5
Offset
In practical use, above water bodies normally a measuring tape is fastened out of the water in
order to facilitate approaching the pre-set measurement spots. The scale of this measuring
tape begins out of the water. If this distance is additionally entered as offset the transmitter
indicates the measurement spots including the offset.
A negative offset is possible too as soon as the measuring tape should be fastened within the
boundaries of the water body, e.g. on a bridge.
