The parameter set of a measurement place contains basic settings for:
•
Name of measurement place and reference number
•
Wall material
•
Width of measurement place, offset, calculation method and number of planned meas-
urement spots
•
Measurement duration, damping and stability
30.1.1
Name of measurement place
This is where you can set the name of the measurement place. After modifying and saving
the parameters when going back to the main screen the system will ask whether
measure-
ment place parameters
shall be
loaded
.
•
If “Yes” the transmitter goes to the main screen and the previous readings on the dis-
play are removed.
•
“No” will retain the previous readings on the display.
As soon as a new measurement place name is specified selecting the first letter or number
will delete the default name.
Type the desired name of the measurement place into the text field and confirm with
“Enter”. The name will be accepted and is shown in the main screen.

30.1.2
Reference Number
The reference number may be used as an amendment to the measurement place name to
define the measurement in greater detail. Enter the number manually and select any desired
number.
30.1.3
Wall Material
The most usual wall materials can be found in the selection menu: “Cast iron”, “Polyvinyl
chloride”, “Concrete” and “Natural” (e.g. for riverbanks).
Besides the pre-set selection it is also possible to set “User defined”. In such a case, howev-
er, it is necessary to enter the according material roughness manually since this value is con-
sidered with the transmitter’s calculations.
