Messaging, can I
forward email from my
PC based email
software to my phone?
Yes, the Nextel email messaging
address (Nextel phone number
@messaging.
nextel.com) is just like any email
address.
Many email systems allow you to
forward a copy of all incoming
mail to another Internet email
address and also keep a copy
locally on your email server.
Depending on your email software,
this may be referred to as “Auto
Forward” or “Rules”.
If you have any questions, you
should contact your email
administrator to find out if you can
forward your PC email to your
Nextel email address.
If I’m sending a Two-
Way Message and the
recipient’s phone is out
of coverage or is
turned off, will they
receive my message?
Nextel will attempt to send your
message for up to 7 days. When the
recipient’s phone is turned back on
or the recipient has returned to a
Nextel coverage area, the message
will be delivered to the phone.
What happens after 7
days if my Two-Way
Message is still not
delivered?
If after 7 days your message was
unable to be delivered, it will be
deleted.
Is there a limit to the
length of time in which
I can check the
delivery status of a
Two-Way Message?
The message delivery status can be
checked for up to 5 days after the
message has been sent.
Can I forward a Two-
Way Message?
Yes. While viewing the message
you wish to forward, press
n
.
Press
o
under “Fwd”. Choose the
address to which you wish to send
the message and press
o
under
“OK”.
