Access Point Installation
This section describes the procedures for installing Access Points.
Note.
Cable with uneven sheath cannot be used for the ETHER connector for Access
Points. These cables cannot be fully inserted into the RJ45 socket of those equipment.
Please use cables without Uneven sheath.
Note.
When pushing the driver slot labled “Lock” or “Unlock” on the backside of the
Access Point, insert a narrow stick into the driver inlet and push parallely to the
mounting face of the equipment. (Hexagonal wrench with a flat end of 2.0~2.7mm (1/
12~1/10 inch) in diameter is recommended)
Note.
Before connecting an external antenna to WL1500-AP, unplug the LAN cable.
Note.
For redundant configuration in WL1500-AP, use ETHER1 and ETHER2
connectors both. For single configuration in WL1500-AP, use ETHER1 connector or
ETHER2 connector either.
Connecting PC with WL1700-MS
When using WL1700-MS, data must be assigned to the WL1700-MS before you
attach it to the appropriate position. For more information, refer to
Assignment For Intelligent AP (Using Initial Setup)” on page 146
