B-50 Installing the Operating System
SETTING RECEIVE SIDE SCALING
Two standard network adapter and optional network board need to change the Receive Side Scaling
setting.
Please execute the following procedures.
NOTE:
This is common procedure for all Windows OS.
IMPORTANT:
Set it in the following procedure before installing
Intel
®
PROSet in the case of Windows Server 2003/Windows Server
2003 x64 Editions.
1.
Open the [Device Manager].
2.
Open the property of [Intel(R) PRO/100…] or [Intel(R) PRO/1000…] under [Network
Adapter] tree.
3.
Click [Advanced] tab.
4.
Change setting of the [Receive Side Scaling] to "Disabled".
5.
Reboot the system.
IMPORTANT:
If [Receive Side Scaling] is not displayed on Windows
Server 2003/Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions, uninstall Intel(R)
PROSet according to [Uninstall Intel
®
PROSet].
Set the [Receive Side Scaling] in above procedure.
When re-install Intel
®
PROSet, refer to [PROSet] (Page B-35, 36).
Uninstall Intel® PROSet
1.
Open the [Control Panel] and double click [Add or Remove Programs].
2.
Intel® PROSet is present if the following is displayed in the list.
Intel(R) Network Connections 13.2.8.0
3.
Select above [Intel(R) PRO Network…], click [Change/Remove], and Select [All drivers
and software] on [Remove Options] dialog.
4.
Click [Remove] button.
5.
Click [Finish] button.
6.
Close all windows and reboot the system.
